It's Janet from McDonalds today.
Maggie is scrumpcious!!!
Can't believe about the cups. My 6yo still gets sippy cups. I do not use the valves though---threw them all out because of the cleft kiddo, so that makes it more grown up--right?

totally understand the not wanting to cosleep thing! as single mom's we have to preserve our energy and get our rest and like you, i cannot rest when molly is in bed with me! i'll do whatever she needs, but i feel we both rest better when we are in our own beds. of course at this point, we are both on wacky schedules...we ate breakfast @ 3:00 a.m. this morning and were bathed and ready to go by 5:00 a.m.! ha!! hope maggie gets better soon and the night terrors quit.

Elizabeth woke up every night for almost 2 years at 10pm and 2am. I would lay down with her until she was a sleep then go back to bed. Now, I just put her back to bed and she goes right back to sleep. She just want to make sure I was still there. I took her to bed with me once when she was running a fever and it took the next 2 nights of not letting her sleep with me before she quit asking.

Hey Tricia,
yeah..we did the whole night terror thing. With Hannah, not Sadie. Hannah had them pretty much every. single. night. for the first year she was home. Then they slowly got less and less frequent. But they didn't go away completely for about 3 years. :-)
But hopefully since yours just started with her being sick..they'll pass quickly. The funny thing was that when they were happening every night, I was fine. I just learned to function on no sleep..and did pretty well. But then when she started sleeping through the night *most* nights, when she would wake or have a night terror..I was a walking zombie! I had gotten used to sleeping at night and it was messing me up. :-) Just keep repeating "this too will pass!". :-)

Hey Tricia,
Well, we deal with night terrors around here. They are very predictable around the 2 - 2 1/2 mark. The way to break the cycle is to wake her just enough for her to make eye contact for 3-5 days in a row and you should be home free until the next time something triggers them. Hope this helps. Love you and miss you.
