Maggie Found Her Squeek!

Well, squeeky shoes are a hit! She didn't like them at first but once she figured them out - life was great! She just slams down those little legs to make the shoes squeek and just giggles. Yes we have a new girl on our hands.

Maggie has been grinning from ear to ear today. Tonight we even got a few giggles. It is just music to my ears. She even has dimples that we didn't know about. I have never seen her smile before today. It just warms my heart.

She also has eaten lots today. 4 bottles and baby jar corn, congee, scrambled eggs and some oatmeal. My little piggie may even gain a few pounds soon. She was born in the year of the golden pig - 2008. I started her on 4 scoops of her formula and 1 scoop of her new formula from home tonight. We will see if her stomach agrees with it. Her formula here in China is so SWEET, it smells like sugar. I really want to get her on some good formula so we are seeing if she can tolerate the new stuff while I am here. So far so good. I added some rice to tonight's bottle too so maybe I can get some good nutrition in her.

Today we met the group and our guide, Rebecca, and went to the Guangzhou Zoo. It was just beautiful. The grounds are beautiful and very clean. We were able to see the panda walk around and even come out of his cage and ate leaves. It was just awesome! Maggie slept some of the time and was awake to see the panda and bears. She just stared at them trying to figure it all out.

The mom's: Jennifer, April and I had massages this afternoon during nap time. It was a blast. I just love these girls. We are having so much fun getting to know each other and bonding! The stories we will have and already have! Blackmail material...

Today has been the day of the total turnaround. Maggie's personality is coming out more and more each day as she gets more comfortable with me. I just love her playfulness and that smile just melts my heart. I told her today that we were going to have such a fun time in life and it made me tear up. She is really my daughter and it is starting to sink in. She is my joy and the gift that God gave me! I am so blessed!

Below are some pics from the zoo and then from playing in the room. One other funny thing that happened is that she discovered her elbow tonight. I was feeding her dinner in the room and she just starting flexing her elbow and just watching it bend and then straighten. Then she did the other side. It was hilarious. I love watching her learn about herself each day.
