In Search of a Pediatrician
As I have been in the wait for so long, I have already assembled a short list of pediatricians to use for Maggie. The one I thought I would use I called today and didn't like the lady that I talked to. She didn't know if any of the doctors in that practice treated adopted children or worked with Asian children. She put me on hold for a very long time to ask around. Don't know about that one.
The other one that I called is not taking new patients but I left my information anyway. All of this is way confusing to me. It will work itself out but didn't know it was be so difficult.

It can be overwhelming... If your adoption agency is local, this might help: We asked our agency for a list of doctors they recommend for international adoption. The one we chose was quite a drive from our home, but we went there for the first several months. That gave us some time to get our kids settled in, and then ask around locally about what pediatricians people use. I found talking to other moms is the best bet. Even if your agency isn't local, you might be able to find a local agency that could help out(?). Good luck! As you said, it will all work out in the end.
