I am very sad to report that the referrals for this month are not looking promising.  The last referrals were for all LID's (Log in Dates) thru January 25, 2006.  It looks like this time the referrals may be for only 2 days.  I also believe that time was right before Chinese New Year so that means even less babies referred than usual.

Why?  Who knows?  I do believe that the earthquake in China caused a lot of government workers to leave their jobs to help out for the disaster.  I also believe that the Olympics are part of the reason as well.  But we really don't know.  All I know is that there are some special little people over in China that deserve a family!  I am appreciative to China for their willingness to let me love and adopt one of their own children but I just can't help to be sad that the process takes so long that these children are suffering unnessarily.  You know, it is all in God's hands and that I have to remember.  He will bring Maggie and I together when HE is ready, not when I am ready.  It is a head, heart thing for me though!  My head knows but my heart has trouble some days.

I am really looking forward to watching the Olympics.  I have been watching the Today Show each morning and love seeing all the reports from China.  It is great to be able to see so much of my daughter's home land before I even get her.  It is truly beautiful there!  Now, as for the food - all I can say is I hope there are some McDonalds, KFC's and Pizza Huts around close!!!  YIKES some of the things they eat.  Who needs a diet - just go to China for two weeks!
