Well it has been one year since I was logged in in China!  What a milestone.  So much has happened in this one year of waiting for my precious daughter.

 

The wait increased from 6 to 8 months to almost 2 years so hopefully I will see Maggie's smiling face later this year.  I don't know when but I do know that God's timing is perfect.  He has taught me many things this past year and I feel is continually preparing me for my upcoming role as a mother.

 

I have read about everything I can get my hands on about parenting but still know that most of that will go out the window once I hold Maggie!  She will be an individual and there is no "right" way to raise her.  I just  hope and pray that I will be a good role model and a loving mother to her.

 

I already know that she will be spoiled rotten.  Her closet is packed with clothes already!  The house is getting worked on as we speak.  I cannot wait to have the hardwood floors down and the screen porch converted to a playroom.  Maggie and I will have so many wonderful times out there playing and learning about the world.  Michael, my craftsman, has already painted the inside of the house and the rooms look awesome.

 

Maggie's room is painted yellow and I will begin creating her nursery soon.  It just makes me so happy to go into her room and look at all her clothes and toys!  I feel so close to her.    I will post pictures as I work on her nursery.
