Finally some good news!

No, it is not referrals are speeding up - oh how I wish!  The CIS has decided to let us waive our fee of one renewal of our I-600A form.  This is the form that allows me permission to adopt an international child into the US.  The fee usually costs $800 so that is a large savings for me.  My previous I-600A form will expire in October.

I am nearing my one year anniversary of my log in date (LID) of July 22, 2006.  The wait time has increased from 6-8 months, when I originally started the adoption process back in December '05, to 19 months as of this month.  The predictions are that I may not get my referral of Maggie until I have waited about 2 years from my LID.  That gives me about a year left to wait.

The process of waiting is so hard but I know that God has not forgotten and I only want what is HIS best!  My next hurdle is the Review Room.  This is where China will take my Dossier information and look it over for any problems.  Since the rules changed May 1, 2007 not allowing singles to adopt in China anymore, all of us singles are a little nervous.  I am supposed to be grandfathered in under the old rules but who knows.  So far their have been a lot of people that were asked questions or asked to update their medical papers but no one has been denied to adopt.  That is GOOD news!

Please keep praying for Maggie, her parents, and all the people that will nurture her for the first few months of her life.  I could also use some prayers during the long wait.  It is so hard some days!

Love,

Tricia
