New Referrals Are In
This past Monday, new referrals starting trickling in. The problem is that China only referred 2 DAYS!!!!! Oct. 25 and 26 were the only days that received their referrals. It is just horrible to think that MY log in date is July 22, 2006. They have 10 more months of referrals to get to my date!!!!
Now on the brighter side, I have heard that the months of Oct. and Nov. 2005 were the largest months of referrals that China has ever seen, hince the small number of days. I can only hope that this is true and once they get through November, the speed will increase.
I also have heard that once May 1, 2007 comes around and the restrictions are in place, there will be fewer referrals sent to China. China has mentioned that they will now take the people that were accepting dossiers and move some of them to the matching room. I can only hope!
I am having a brighter outlook on the process - I have finally come to grips with the wait (at least for today). It is all in GOD's hands and in HIS timing. I have a lot of things to do before Maggie arrives and I will use this time to better myself, deepen my relationship with God, and get my house ready.
I have decided to have some work done on my house before Maggie gets here. I am putting down hardwood floors through out the house to help with my allergies and to get rid of some of the "opps spots" from my dog, Izzy. It took awhile to potty train her - one can only hope that Maggie will take to the potty quickly!!!!
I am also going to enclose my screened in porch with windows and put tile out there thereby creating a great little playroom for Maggie. I'm also going to paint a little to spruce things up a little. Sounds exciting and once that is done, I can concentrate on Maggie's nursery. I am so excited about working on it myself. I really don't want much help, I want to do it for my daughter and I have a lot of ideas. It is going to be a happy place for her to learn and grow and rest.
I'm in our Nashville office this week and am on my way to my cousin, Christy's, wedding in Indiana. I am so excited for Christy and Travis and I pray that this will be the wedding of your dreams. Congratulations sweetie!!!!
Thanks for checking in on the process. I guess I had something when I was saying, "My Journey to Maggie, like an inchworm". Didn't mean it literally! Love,
Tricia
