I woke up on the first day of January 2007 and realized that this is the year of MAGGIE!!!!  I really believe that I will become a mother this year and will be holding my child in my arms sometime this year!  That realization was so incredible to me that I just walked around all day grinning from ear to ear.

 

I hope all of you are having a great new year.  I pray that this year will bring you all of your family's many of God's blessings!

 

Please continue to pray with me for Maggie's birthmother.  Pray for Maggie's birth and first months' of life and that she will feel safe, warm, loved until I can get to her.  Precious child of mine, I will be there as soon as I can.  Please know that I love you and cannot wait to have you with me!  You have so many family members waiting on you.  You are a loved child!  May the miles that separate us lessen soon.  I love you Maggie!

 

As for an update on the adoption.  Right now, China has matched and referred the applications that were submitted as of September 8, 2005.  That means that I am at about a 15 months wait from my July 22, 2006 log in date.  Of course, things can speed up or slow down.  I am looking at possibly getting my referral sometime during October of this year and maybe traveling in November, 2007.

 

I also want to take this time to thank so many of you for your generosity over the past year.  You have prayed for and with me, you have supported me by asking about the adoption, you have BOUGHT so many cookbooks to help with the financial end and many of you have just given me donations of money and baby items.  I am truly blessed with many generous friends and family.  Now I hope you will still be around when it comes time for baby sitting!!!!!  TeeHeeHee!!!
